Proactive Safety & Fall Prevention Assistance
At CareWell Homecare, we believe that the foundation of independence is a safe home environment. Falls are the leading cause of injury among seniors and those with chronic illnesses, often leading to a loss of mobility and a decrease in confidence. Our Safety and Fall Prevention program is designed to identify risks before an accident occurs, providing the vigilant oversight and physical support necessary to keep your loved one secure. This is why our caregivers are often requested in assisted-living or hospice care, as families want to ensure their loved one has 1-1 support to prevent falls and accidents.
Safety isn't just about removing a rug; it’s about having a trained professional who understands the physical and environmental triggers that lead to falls. Whether the risk stems from muscle weakness, medication side effects, or a complex diagnosis like Parkinson’s or MS, our caregivers provide a "safety net" for every movement. The specific safety protocols and level of supervision required are determined during our initial assessment and tailored to the unique layout of the home and the client’s physical condition.
Confidence Through Security
The fear of falling can often lead seniors to become sedentary, which actually increases the risk of weakness and future falls. Our caregivers provide the physical and emotional confidence your loved one needs to stay active. By managing the risks, we allow our clients to move through their homes with a sense of security, knowing that a trained professional is always there to catch them. We turn the home back into a place of comfort, rather than a place of worry.
