General Mobility & Fall Prevention
As we age, changes in balance, muscle strength, and joint flexibility can make once-simple tasks feel more challenging. At CareWell Homecare, we provide dedicated support for seniors experiencing age-related mobility decline, helping them navigate their homes safely while maintaining their quality of life. Our caregivers provide compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. We understand that mobility issues can sometimes lead to a loss of confidence, so we prioritize a patient, respectful approach that encourages as much independence as possible. The specific level of physical assistance required for these tasks is determined during our comprehensive initial assessment and is tailored to meet each client's unique needs.
Proactive Fall Prevention Assistance
Safety in the home is our top priority. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we provide individualized fall prevention assistance that adapts to your loved one's environment and daily habits. Our caregivers are trained to be "safety-first" partners, providing steady stand-by support during high-risk transitions—such as rising from a favorite chair, navigating steps, or entering the shower. We also assist with environmental safety by keeping walkways clear of clutter, ensuring proper lighting is used, and helping clients correctly utilize assistive devices like canes or walkers.
Promoting Activity & Home Exercise Support
Staying active is one of the best ways to manage age-related mobility challenges. Our caregivers play a vital role in supporting the Home Exercise Programs (HEPs) prescribed by a client's physician or physical therapist. We provide the gentle encouragement and physical oversight needed to complete daily range-of-motion stretches, balance exercises, and light strengthening routines. Whether it's accompanying a client on a daily walk or supervising seated exercises, we ensure that movement remains a safe and consistent part of their daily routine, which is essential for maintaining muscle mass and coordination. Our in-house Doctor of Physical Therapy is always available to ensure caregiver familiarity with our clients' home exercise and physical activity routines.
